Social Event
The social event is a buffet dinner at the New Town City Hall starting at 7pm on
Monday September 3, 2007. The name New Town may be
perhaps misleading a bit – it is new just by Prague measures, since it was founded in 1348 by king Charles IV.
Unfortunately, few of its medieval buildings survived until today, the New Town City Hall, situated in a corner the
Charles Square, being one of them.

How to get there:
|
1) Exit from ČVUT (the conference location) walk for about 200 meters to the metro station Dejvická
(underground – metro line A end station, see map 1). Do not forget to punch the ticket before you enter the
payable area (a 14CZK ticket will be fine for this trip).

2) Take the metro, get off at the Mustek station. When exiting the train level at
Mustek, use the escalator "Vaclavske namesti" (that is in the direction of the arriving train).

3) Exit the underground to the Vodičkova street.
|
4) Walk the Vodickova street (away from the Wenceslas square (=Vaclavske namesti) ) for some
200 meter. At the spot where the tramway turns right, turn slightly left (still Vodičkova). After
100 meters, the Novomestske radnice (New Town City Hall, the conference dinner location) will be
on your right (see map 2).
